I was inspired to make a list of things to do before I turn 30.  Unfortunately I only have about 6 months left, so I had to choose mostly smaller things, and many of them are already planned, but I still think it will be fun!  I have a lot of bigger plans too, but most of those will have to wait until Olivia is older.  (like visiting Antarctica)

As I complete my list I will hopefully make posts about each item and link to them from here.  Assuming I don’t get lazy, that is….

1. Make two good friends in Karlsruhe
2. Finish Olivia’s room
3.  Go to the zoo
4.  Sew my own curtains
5. Master 10 recipes (to the point where I don’t need the recipe and it turns out good every time)
6. Hire a tax consultant  (DONE!)
7. Visit each of my best friends: Melanie, Danielle and Rena
8. Go camping  (DONE!)
9. Go to the beach
10. Go on a date with Oscar, leaving Olivia with a babysitter :-O!
11. Visit a country I’ve never been to  (It was planned… Spain… but we had to cancel 😦
12. Organize a block party for my new neighborhood  (Is in Planning for next summer!)
13. Let go of my computer game collection (It is up for sale… as of December 5th!))
14. Decide on a bedtime routine and *stick to it*  (DONE!)
15. Learn how to play 3 kids’ songs on the guitar
16. Take our rugs to a cleaner

17.  Baby-proof our apartment  (DONE!)

18.  Visit Teotihuacán

19.  Baptize Olivia

20.  Make a dish using Kohlrabi  (DONE!)

21.  Bring food to the homeless man in the park and listen to his story  (DONE!  I will write about this some time)

22.  Make a book of family photos for Olivia

23.  Finally send out birth announcements (…. Yeah… I know….)

24.  De-clutter the bookshelves  (DONE!!  By my husband….)

25.  Visit the Black Forest

26.  Invite the neighbors over (DONE!)

27.  Get back to my per-pregnancy weight

28.  Bake a birthday cake for Olivia  (Done!  6-month birthday)

29.  Organize my closet & donate old clothes  (Done!)

30.  Organize my return to work

6 months = plenty of time! Good luck on accomplishing your goals!

Thanks!! Too bad most of that 6 months is already gone… and we are going to be travelling for the rest of it, so effectivly my time is already up 😦 I will just have to give myself an extension 😀

Since you’ve already been to Switzerland, Austria, and Lichtenstein, as well as France, England, Italy, Hungary, and the Netherlands … your nearby choices would seem to be Luxembourg or Belgium.

Or maybe you could visit Malta for your birthday! My foster grandfather, Tommy Far (Antonio Farrugia) was born on the island of Gozo, in 1901.

I’ve been to Belgium too… lol (Brussels) but at this point it will be impossible for me to achieve this goal, since we are leaving for the US in 3 days, and by the time we get back I will almost be 30 already! Guess I’m just going to have to give myself an extension to 31 😉
